The Sagol Brain Institute is a unique, integrated hub that brings together basic neuroscience research, clinical research and services, and the development of neuroscience-driven technologies.
Home to 10 research groups, the Institute spans a wide range of domains, including structural and functional MRI; neurophysiology of sleep and cognition; neuropsychiatry and neuromodulation; VR/XR and immersive technologies for healthy and disabled populations; cognitive reserve and resilience in aging; psychedelics in neuroscience and medicine; brain development; pain and consciousness; the unresponsive brain (including anesthesia and disorders of consciousness); music and brain reward systems; functional brain networks; intracranial human physiology; and neuroscience combined with AI.
Together, these multidisciplinary activities drive strong clinical translation across neurosurgery, epilepsy, psychiatry, neurology, sleep medicine, anesthesia and intensive care, pain medicine, and rehabilitation.
