​Basic Training Program for Surgical Specialties

• The aim of the course is to provide basic tools to surgery residents at the beginning of their track. The course includes learning techniques for laying the patient prone, familiarization with surgical instruments, principles of suturing, hands-on practice of surgical knots, and manual skill stations of inserting a central line, practicing closing the abdomen, intubation, and inserting a chest drain.
  
• The course is designed for surgery residents.
  
• The course is in the format of 3 full days of training twice a year.
