The department is committed to the highest international standards, applying innovative techniques, as well as proven clinical and scientific research. Procedures are performed using state-of-the-art equipment and approaches, such as a neuronavigation, surgeries under full consciousness, intra-operative MRI, endoscopic surgeries, and simultaneous intra-operative electrophysiological recording for brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerve operations.

Multidisciplinary care
For optimal patient care, the department jointly participates in patient treatment teams with orthopedics, intensive care specialists, endocrinology, ENT, anesthesiology, and invasive neuroradiology.
Education and research
The department is a key participant in educational programs for doctors, nurses, and medical students from Tel Aviv University and New York University. The staff conducts clinical trials and basic research on an international level, heading a variety of studies and participating in the steering committees and advisory boards for many pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
The Neurosurgical service also takes part in the education of numerous neurosurgical fellows from abroad, including Europe, China, India, Africa, and the Palestinian Authority.
