The Center for Women’s Health; Gynecology

The Unit for Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor treats women who suffer from symptoms such as frequency, urgency, urinary incontinence (“dribbling”), difficulty urinating, pain upon urination and recurrent lower urinary tract infections. The unit also treats women suffering from prolapse of pelvic organs (uterus, urinary bladder, rectal colon, and vagina.)

Women being treated by the unit may undergo a battery of evaluations including gynecologic examination, urodynamic evaluation and imaging tests, as needed. Patient care includes diagnosis, medical treatment, physical therapy, and various types of surgeries (abdominal, laparoscopic, vaginal) to strengthen the pelvic floor.
The unit staff includes three physicians, a nurse, and a physical therapist.
