Extensive laboratory services
Laboratory services include HIV diagnosis testing and follow up services, such as viral load (severity level), immune status (CD4 cell count), and drug resistance testing.
A supportive team approach
The HIV/AIDS clinic team consists of physicians, a nurse, a social worker, a case manager, a psychologist, a dietician, a PhD-level laboratory director, and laboratory professionals. HIV/AIDS specialists follow adult HIV patients, pregnant women who are HIV positive, and their babies after birth.
Service to the community
The Tel Aviv Crusaid Kobler AIDS Center is an important resource for the community at large, providing assistance, general information, and initial treatment information. The center is also a resource for people concerned about contracting AIDS.
International outreach
The center participates in medical student training as well as HIV education programs in Africa. More than 100 health professionals from Ethiopia were trained in Tel Aviv as part of the collaboration program with Ethiopia; the University of Washington in Seattle, USA; Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem; and the National HIV Reference Laboratory of the Israeli Ministry of Health.
Medical and scientific research mission
With a dual mission of advancing medicine and science, the center performs a broad range of both clinical and laboratory research studies on a variety of HIV/AIDS topics. The laboratory research unit studies virology and immunology aspects of the HIV virus.

The AIDS Center staff provides support and consulting to all the Medical Center departments on AIDS-related topics.
