The Pediatric Orthopedics Department at Dana-Dwek Children’s Hospital, Tel Aviv Medical Center, provides care for children and adolescents and serves as a national and international referral center for children with complex orthopedic conditions from across Israel and around the world.
The department is the only one of its kind in Israel providing care across the full range of pediatric orthopedic disciplines at the highest level of expertise.
The medical team includes senior orthopedic specialists, each with a unique area of expertise in addition to their work in the department, such as limb deformity correction, spinal surgery, sports medicine, and more. This structure enables the provision of advanced professional care for the full range of pediatric orthopedic conditions and diseases.

Comprehensive Care and Follow-Up
The department includes both outpatient clinics and an inpatient unit. More than 10,000 outpatient visits take place each year, and approximately 500 surgical procedures under general anesthesia are performed annually. Surgical treatments are planned and performed using the latest and most advanced technologies.
The team provides comprehensive, compassionate care that considers not only each child’s orthopedic condition but also their overall health, family background, and social well-being. The department specializes in caring for growing and developing children, providing diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term follow-up. Many patients are followed by the medical team from birth through adolescence and until skeletal maturity.
Through the outpatient clinics, physicians and staff maintain ongoing contact with children and their families following both simple and complex surgical procedures, ensuring continuity of care throughout the recovery process.
Inpatient Care
The inpatient department has a dedicated and experienced nursing team specializing in pediatric care. The team supports and guides children and their families before surgery, after surgery, and throughout hospitalization.
The department also includes a kindergarten and classroom operated by the Dana School under the supervision of the Ministry of Education. The school provides educational, therapeutic, emotional, and social support for hospitalized children, helps them keep up with their studies, and serves as an important source of support for children and their families.

Center for Hereditary Bone Disorders in Children and Adolescents
A multidisciplinary center providing diagnosis, including prenatal diagnosis, consultation, follow-up, and treatment for children and adolescents with skeletal dysplasias and congenital bone disorders throughout growth and development.
Pediatric Hip Service
Diagnosis and treatment of newborns, infants, and children with congenital and developmental hip disorders, including developmental hip dislocation, fractures, infections, impaired blood supply to the femoral head, and other congenital and acquired deformities.
Pediatric and Adolescent Spine Clinic
Follow-up and treatment for children and adolescents with a wide range of congenital and acquired spinal conditions, including idiopathic scoliosis, congenital scoliosis, and scoliosis associated with neuromuscular disorders.
Cerebral Palsy and Neuromuscular Disorders Clinic
Orthopedic treatment and follow-up for children with cerebral palsy (CP) and other neuromuscular disorders.
Pediatric Hand Surgery Unit
The unit treats conditions affecting upper limb function, including injuries and fractures of the hand, forearm, and elbow, as well as infections, paralysis, nerve injuries, congenital deformities, and other conditions.
Pediatric Clubfoot Clinic
Treatment and follow-up for children born with clubfoot, based on the Ponseti method.
Gait and Motion Analysis Laboratory
The first laboratory of its kind in Israel and one of the most advanced worldwide, dedicated to the precise scientific analysis of gait and movement.
Pediatric and Adolescent Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery Clinic
The clinic focuses on the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of acute sports injuries in children and adolescents, including injuries requiring urgent or surgical intervention, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and ongoing follow-up.
Complex Fractures and Fracture Complications Clinic
