The Pediatric Dermatology Unit at Dana-Dwek Children’s Hospital, Tel Aviv Medical Center is a leading center for pediatric and adolescent dermatology in Israel, providing diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for a wide range of skin conditions and diseases. The unit combines advanced medical care with extensive research and innovative diagnostic and treatment technologies.
The unit provides specialized care for acne, taking into consideration the physiological, psychological, pharmacological, and cosmetic aspects of treatment. It also provides evaluation and follow-up for congenital and acquired moles and treats children with developmental conditions affecting the skin.
The unit performs minor surgical procedures in an advanced ambulatory setting, including treatment of skin lesions and tumors and biopsies under local anesthesia. Additional treatments include phototherapy using ultraviolet (UV) light for various skin conditions and advanced imaging and monitoring of congenital and acquired moles.
The clinic follows a child-centered approach, tailoring care to each child’s individual needs and providing a comfortable and supportive environment for children and their parents.

The unit works in close collaboration with other clinics and departments at Dana-Dwek Children’s Hospital, including Cardiology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Plastic Surgery, and Orthopedics.
The team also collaborates with the Pathology Institute and Imaging Department, particularly Interventional Radiology for the evaluation, follow-up, and treatment of vascular lesions, as well as with the Dermatology Department’s psychologist and the hospital’s social work services.
