Positron-Emission Tomography (PET-CT) – helps determine the exact location of the tumor and its boundaries, and assess how far it may have spread.
Lung Biopsy – to ensure the early detection of metastases, a needle biopsy or an open (minimally invasive) lung biopsy can be performed.
Thoracoscope – bronchi and lungs are examined using videothoracoscopy (with a special instrument, called a “thoracoscope”, inserted through a small incision in the chest).

Once the diagnostic process is completed, individualized treatment plans are developed based on your overall health, the type and stage of your cancer, and your preferences. Options typically include one or more treatments, including surgery (such as minimally invasive surgery, surgery to remove a lung , and operations intended to relieve pain in situations where lung cancer can’t be cured), chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or targeted drug therapy.
