Surgery Division
The Division of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center is renowned as a center of excellence and referral center throughout Israel and internationally.

Division specialists offer a variety of unique state-of-the-art clinical reconstructive procedures. With special emphasis on preserving body function and aesthetics, patients receiving care at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center have attained dramatic results: improved appearance and enhanced quality of life.
A cornerstone of care by the department is its multidisciplinary approach, which integrates all essential medical specialties for optimal evaluation and treatment of complex clinical cases.

Commitment to education

Professional training programs and symposia are offered for plastic surgery residents, fellows, and others, including medical students, rotating residents, practicing plastic surgeons and other professionals.

Day Surgery

Many state-of-the-art plastic surgery procedures are performed on an outpatient basis at the Day Surgery Clinic. Resources or consultations required before, during, and after the day surgery procedure and recovery are immediately available to patients.
On-site pathologists, radiologists, and other specialists facilitate multidisciplinary decision-making with the greatest possible amount of information and knowledge available. Ultimately, this approach saves patients valuable time and promotes optimal outcomes. Sophisticated equipment and quality care from the division’s physicians are a vital part of the division’s success.
Surgeries performed on an outpatient basis include: removal of moles, cysts, lipomas (fatty tumors), scars, and malignant tumors, such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma; and Mohs surgery, also known as micrographic surgery. Most surgical procedures are done under local anesthesia.
