- Restorative operations for patients with familial polyposis syndrome and ulcerative colitis as well as patients with rectal cancer
- Minimally invasive bowel resections (laparoscopic) for benign and malignant colorectal diseases
- Surgery for functional anorectal disorders such as rectal prolapse, fecal incontinence and obstructed defecation

The unit's team works in close collaboration with multiple disciplines including gastroenterology, oncology, metabolic and imaging departments in making decisions and providing patient care in order to achieve optimal results.
After discharge, surgeons from the unit monitor patients regularly in the hospital's Proctology Clinic.
