Honoring the memory of Aviva Ofer
With a heavy heart, we announce that our dear friend, Aviva Ofer, passed away in early February 2019.
Ms. Ofer, the widow of Sammy Ofer, was the matriarch of the philanthropic Ofer family, whose legacy continues with Eyal and Idan.

Ms. Ofer was modest, but remained a powerful force behind the Ofer family’s many contributions to Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. We remember her fondly as she stood proudly beside Sammy, Eyal and Idan at the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Underground Emergency Hospital, the invaluable facility that bears her husband’s name.
The Ofer family has been a role model for doing good in the world, donating to healthcare, security, and other many important causes, including the Sammy Ofer Underground Emergency Hospital, the Sammy Ofer Heart Building, and the Sammy Ofer Science Library.
We take this opportunity to honor and express our sincere appreciation to Aviva, and pledge that we will continue with the mission set forth by the Ofer family to deliver compassionate, quality medical care, educate healthcare professionals, and protect Israel’s residents from harm.
We extend our sincerest condolences to the Ofer family. May you know no more sorrow.
