Dana-Dwek Children’s Hospital
The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Unit of Dana-Dwek Children’s Hospital at the Tel Aviv Medical Center treats almost 24,000 children every year, with a wide range of pediatric diseases. The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Unit treats infants and children ranging in age from newborns to 18 year olds. 

Most patients are referred by their primary physician for further evaluation and treatment of various pediatrics diseases. Upon arrival to the unit, a nurse evaluates every child and than a pediatrician examines, delineating a plan for evaluation and treatment. 
Many patients need emergency treatment which is provided by the trained stuff in a well equipped intensive care room within the pediatric emergency unit. The patient will be transferred either to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit or to other facility according to the medical status after completion of the emergency treatment and stabilization.
Almost one third of the treated children are referred to the pediatric emergency medicine unit due to injury. this includes falls, laceration, bone fractures, car accidents, poisoning, burns, child abuse est.
A patient who needs admissions is hospitalized in the general pediatric ward or in one of the two surgical wards. 
Dana-Dwek Children’s Hospital provides Many services, including: Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Orthopedics, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Pediatric ENT, Pediatric Urology, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as well as other out patient pediatric services such as Radiology, Pulmonology, Dermatology, Hemato-Oncology, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Pediatric Neurology service. All these facilities are available to the pediatric emergency medicine unit daily as consultants or for special surgical treatments (fractures, lacerations etc.).
