Passionately supporting healthcare is nothing new to the Porter Foundation.

Since its establishment in 1970, it has been delivering a large variety of projects in the UK and in Israel – including the renovation of the Shirene Home for Senior Citizens in Herzliya, the establishment of Beit Shirley in Dimona, and the Porter Day Centre for Senior Citizens in Jaffa.

Here at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, the Foundation, headed by Dame Shirley Porter since 2005, has made major, transformative contributions to the way the hospital runs. Dame Shirley’s personal passion for improving healthcare has led her to fund three major facilities in memory of her late husband: the Sir Leslie Porter Health Care Centre for Senior Citizens, which has two geriatric rehabilitation departments; the Porter Rehabilitation Wing, which provides life-saving services to 12,000 patients each year; and the Porter Ambulatory Emergency Unit.

We would like to thank Dame Shirley and the Porter Foundation for their generous and high-impact commitment to making Ichilov a better place for all who visit and stay.
