The unit provides diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up in the following specialties:
- The adrenal gland
- Disorders of sex development
- Patients recovering from cancer and cancer treatment
- Thyroid tumors: benign and malignant
- Lipids/lipoproteins: the fats circulating in the bloodstream
- Hypercalcemia (high level of calcium in the blood) and hypocalcemia (low level of calcium in the blood)
- Metabolic bone disorders
- Transgender youth
The unit collaborates with other disciplines as necessary, such as the Radiotherapy Institute, Nuclear Medicine Institute, Ear, Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Department, Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center Endocrinology Institute and Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center Genetics Institute.
