Plastic Surgery - Clinic

Director      Dr. Jerry Weiss

General Description

The Clinic offers medical services to ambulatory patients (non-hospitalized). Patients are referred either by their health service provider, the IDF or other medical centers, or are undergoing follow-up treatment after hospitalization in the department.

A patient who wishes to undergo surgery must first visit the clinic for an evaluation and medical examination. If doctors recommend surgery, the patient will receive a referral to ambulatory or departmental surgery (surgical procedures are not conducted in the clinic).

If a patient's condition is considered to be more complicated than average, his case will be brought up for discussion with all departmental doctors.

Main Services

  • Treating burns and injuries
  • Removal of stitches following surgery or stitches inserted in the Emergency Room
  • Injection of saline into tissue stretchers, for patients undergoing breast reconstruction, removal of moles or large scars
  • Regular dermal follow-up for patients who suffered skin cancer
  • Post-surgery follow-up

The Clinic also operates several secondary-clinics which deal with patients from various units within each department. These clinics offer advisory services and medical care in all fields of treatment. Some involve a wider range of medical fields and offer more complex solutions:
