General Description

The Clinic for the treatment of diseases of the Retina and Vitreous performs diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients suffering from retinal disease.

The Clinic performs laser surgery and retinal surgery, including complicated surgeries for treatment of retinal  detachment and vitreal disorders, such as vitreous hemorrhage and the formation of scar tissue.

In addition, state-of-the-art treatments include photodynamic and injection of intravitreal avastin to treat age-related Macular Degeneration.

Moreover, the Clinic runs an imaging unit that scans the anterior section of the eye and the retina, including fluorescent scans of the blood vessels in the retina and optical coherence tomography (OCT).

 

 

The Clinic treats the following :

  • Diabetic retinopathy
  • Macular degeneration
  • Inflammatory diseases of the retina
  • Retinal hole in the region of Center of Vision
  • Eye trauma
  • Occlusion of the central retinal blood vessels
  • Night blindness

 

Special Requirements

Patients are required to submit a financial guarantee for payment from their health fund (Form No. 17) or pay the amount of NIS 176 in cash.
