Director Dr. Levi Rotkof
General Description
With the rise in life expectancy, more and more people are suffering from the side effects of old age, the main effect being impaired sight.
Sight is one of man's main senses, the loss of which causes a drop in his quality of life. In cases of impaired vision in adults, it is important to give medical and therapeutic treatment even though this does not always cause immediate improvement in sight. Therefore, in addition to medical treatment, patients suffering from impaired vision must be assisted in improving their vision function, through the use of special accessories that improve quality of vision.
The Impaired Sight Clinic works to raise awareness regarding the loss of sight, give information regarding personal needs and increase the ability of the patient to use his eyes dispute his limitations.

What does the examination at the clinic include?
The sight loss examination is different to a routine eye test performed by an optometrist, because it includes a number of additional tests, mainly regarding quality of sight (sensitivity to contrasts) in patients suffering from degeneration of the retina, glaucoma, diabetes, etc.
These additional tests help doctors find the best solution for each patient, using special instruments, such as magnifying glasses, telescopic glasses and electronic magnification accessories, depending on the severity and type of disorder and the needs of the patient. Optical devices are individually-made for children and adolescents suffering from congenital sight disorders.
