General Description

At the Clinic for General Eye Diseases, we treat patients suffering from a wide range of eye diseases and disorders:

  • Infections of the eye
  • Visual disturbances
  • Evaluation of candidates for cataract surgery
  • Eye inflammation due to various causes
  • Loss of sight due to various eye diseases
  • Treatment and follow-up of patients suffering from trauma to eyes, such as foreign objects entering eye, and trauma from blunt and sharp objects
  • Continued follow-up of patients treated in the Emergency Medicine Unit or hospitalized in the Department of Opthalmology
  • Follow-up on patients who underwent cataract surgery until their full recovery and fitting of glasses
  • Routine periodic eye tests, including sight evaluation, measuring of intra-ocular pressure and examination of the fundus of the eye

 

Special Requirements

  • Letter of referral from eye doctor, or medical file from the Emergency Medicine Unit or Department of Opthalmology
  • Patients are required to submit a financial guarantee for payment from their health fund (Form No. 17) or pay the amount of NIS 177 in cash.
