General Description
The Clinic, which is affiliated to the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and the Institute of Oncology, deals with the counseling, treatment and follow-up of patients suffering from cancerous tumors in the ENT system and the head, neck, facial bones, sinuses and base of the skull.
State-of-the-art endoscopic equipment is used for diagnosis. The medical staff includes: a specialist in ENT and head-neck surgery, a specialist in oncology, a specialist in radiology of the head and neck and a specialist in pathology of the head and neck. A social worker is also part of the nursing team, to assist with the patients' welfare.
Main Areas of Treatment
The Clinic deals with the planning of complementary oncology treatment before or after surgery for removal of cancerous tumors in the head and neck, including the throat, pharynx, jaw, sinuses, saliva glands, mouth, tongue, base of skull, eye sockets and thyroid gland.
