Thoracic Surgery
In the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Tel Aviv Medical Center, a wide range of thoracic surgeries are performed, including:

1.       Lobectomy or pneumonectomy due to malignant lesions.

2.       Wedge resections from lungs as part of a biopsy or to remove metastatic lesions.

3.       Mediastinal biopsies.

4.       Pleurodesis.

5.       Sympathectomies.

A large number of these surgeries are performed via thoracoscopy with the assistance of a video camera, without a thoracotomy.
