Approximately 1000 cardiothoracic surgical procedures are performed annually in the Dept. of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center.
The following operations are performed in our Department: coronary artery disease, cardiac failure, valvular disease, diseases of the large vessels and a variety of endoscopic thoracic surgeries.
The experienced surgical team that applies cutting edge technology, has positioned the department as a leader in Israel for coronary artery bypass surgery using arterial grafts, minimally invasive coronary artery surgery, off pump coronary artery surgery, complicated valve repair surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery and endoscopic pulmonary surgery.
The surgeons in the department are pioneers in the minimally invasive cardiac surgery revolution. These operations are currently the preferred approach in the best worldwide centers for cardiac surgery.
