| The Mamylis Maternity Club conducts a variety of antenatal courses every day during the afternoon and evening hours.
Antenatal Course for a First Birth
The course is given by qualified midwives who work in the delivery room, and includes five meetings.
The course covers various topics, such as:
- Physiological changes during pregnancy
- Continuing a normal daily routine
- Nutrition
- Identifying the first signs of birth
- What to expect in the delivery room
- Dealing with pain and pain relief
- Birthing assistants
- Making first contact with your baby
- Nursing
- Care during the first few days after birth
- Returning home
The course includes videos, exercises and a tour of the delivery room. The course is held in small groups.
The course costs NIS 450

Antenatal Marathon Course
The Mamylis Maternity Club also offers a quick antenatal course of only two sessions.
Participants will learn the same topics as in the regular course, but it will not include a tour of the delivery room, which can be organized separately.
The course will be held in the seminar room, Department of Gynecology and given by midwives and suits those who have limited time available, or for couples nearing the end of the pregnancy.
The course will be in two sessions, on two Fridays. Each session starts at 08:30 or at 13:30 and lasts 4.5 hours.
