Main description
The Unit for Cervical Diseases is comprised of a diagnostic clinic and a follow-up clinic that are part of the modern, sophisticated Gynecology Department.
The clinics are equipped with the latest in modern technology, which are used to assess the cervix and to identify infectious processes as well as pre-cancerous and cancerous conditions.
Diagnostic tests include PAP smear, colposcopy, hysteroscopy and other examinations. Treatment modalities include laser, electric energy and surgical procedures on the cervix. The clinic offers the unique service of identifying types of viral infections such as papiloma, whose relationship to cervical morbidity is well known and understood.
