Main description The Neurology Department of the Tel Aviv Medical Center provides diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the central nervous system (brain) and the peripheral nervous system.
The department admits patients suffering from cerebral vascular accidents (CVA, or stroke), epilepsy, movement disorders, nerve and muscle disorders, memory impairment, infectious diseases of the central nervous system, headache, pain, autoimmune diseases and other neurological conditions.
The department is comprised of in-house hospitalization unit, the Electroencephalography Institute (EEG,) and a number of outpatient clinics. All care is coordinated by the highly specialized professional staff.
The department has 28 hospital beds, 18 specialized physicians, and a nursing staff that includes nurses, a clinical instructor, licensed registered nurses and others.
