Main description
The Department of Internal Medicine I of the Tel Aviv Medical Center treats a wide range of patients. Most of the patients hospitalized have been admitted via the Emergency Room for urgent care.
The department specializes in rheumatology and immunology.
There are also patients admitted on an elective basis from various hospital clinics for comprehensive work-up. The department provides consultation for patients hospitalized in general surgery and gynecology departments, and who may be transferred as needed for continued care.
The department features an intensive treatment room for patients requiring intensive care. The room is equipped with monitors and respiratory ventilators. The department has 38 beds in 16 rooms with an adjacent bathroom and shower in each room.
The department treats approximately 300 patients per month.
The medical staff consists of a medical director, assistant director, and four senior physicians. The nursing staff consists of a head nurse, assistant head nurses, orientation nurse, registered nurses and others.
