Main description
The Department of Internal Medicine B of the Tel Aviv Medical Center treats a wide range of patients. Most of the patients hospitalized have been admitted via the Emergency Room for urgent care. There are also patients admitted on an elective basis from various hospital clinics for comprehensive work-up.

The department specializes in treating rheumatic diseases, infectious diseases and congestive heart failure (CHF.)

The department provides consultation for patients hospitalized in general surgery and gynecology departments, and who may be transferred as needed for continued care.

The department features an intensive treatment room for patients requiring intensive care. The room has between three to six beds and equipment including monitors and respiratory ventilators. The department has 34 beds and treats between 250 - 300 patients per month.

The medical staff consists of a medical director, two senior physicians and medical residents. The nursing staff consists of a head nurse, assistant head nurse, orientation nurse, registered nurses and others.

The department operates an outpatient clinic for follow up after hospitalization.
