Clinical Trials Network Services – CTNS

Clinical Trials Network Services was established in 1999, and provides a comprehensive infrastructure for the performance of clinical trials in the different departments of the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. It has already completed over 30 studies for major pharmaceutical companies, like Bayer, MSD, Knoll, Astra-Zeneca, Pharmacia, and others. The cost-effective clinical research is managed by physicians and highly trained and experienced nurses. CTNS provides assistance to principal investigators in protocol submission, patient recruitment and quality assurance coordinator backup. CTNS facilitates trials conducted in the various hospital departments, and maintains a growing database of patients according to various clinical classifications, for fast compliance with requirements of clinical studies.

Goals:

The center aims to assist in clinical research processes, including recruitment of patients according to GCP/ICH guidelines, and management according to international regulatory standards.

Therapeutic areas include cardiovascular diseases; hematology; infectious diseases; metabolic diseases; lung diseases; pain relief; oncology; trauma and surgery.

CTNS participates in clinical trials on an inpatient and outpatient basis, and staff is available 24 hours a day.

Management:

The office is equipped for conducting clinical trials, with ample space for monitoring visits and handling blood samples and pathology specimens.

We offer centralized services, including preparation of source documents, submission of regulatory documents, handling of budget and contracts, tailored to our clients’ needs.

Patient Identification and Recruitment:

Suitable patients are identified for the various trials through our own database and the computerized hospital database, advertising in the local newspaper, and personal connections with general practitioners in the community. Patients are quickly recruited for our trials, with high compliance in signing informed consent, while maintaining GCP/ICH guidelines.

Patients are recruited from Emergency Room, hospitalization departments (Internal medicine and Surgery) and specific outpatient clinics.
