The cardiovascular research lab is part of the department of Cardiology.
Current research activities focus on the manipulation and use of stem cells and in particular EPC’s for treatment of cardiac conditions.
Another main focus is immune cardiology.

This research lab has several established animal models (rats and mice) for cardiovascular diseases, and conducts specific assays suitable for basic and contract research.
