Main description
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit comprises several clinics and services including:
  • The Child and Adolescent Clinic, from age 3 to 18;
  • The Psychiatric day Treatment Unit in coordination with the Clinical Nutritional Unit;
  • Diagnostic services for attention and concentration disorders.

    The psychiatric services for the child and adolescent diagnoses emotional disturbances starting from age three and up. Comprehensive diagnosis includes clinical, psychodynamic and cognitive assessments integrated together. Additionally, the unit provides liaison consultative services for the pediatric departments, pediatric outpatient clinics and pediatric emergency of the Medical center. The unit also provides comprehensive therapies that include psychiatric-biological-medical components and most types of psychotherapy (individual-dynamic, art therapy, dance and music therapy.) Instruction for parents is given as needed.
