The neurologic rehabilitation service is the first of its kind in Israel and is unique in its multi-disciplinary approach to care, combining conventional and alternative treatment modalities.
The service is specially geared for people suffering from neurological illnesses and injuries to nerves, such as:
Facial paralysis;
Facial pain (trigeminal neuralgia or prosopalgia);
Neck pain (cervicalgia);
Shoulder and hand pain (brachialgia or brachiophalangia);
Complete hand paralysis (brachiophalanxitis);
Wrist paralysis (nerve injuries to the radial, ulnar or median nerves);
Carpal tunnel syndrome;
Back pain;
Neuralgia after herpes zoster;
Low back pain (lumbalgia);
Pain in the “tail bone” (coccyigodina);
Sciatica pain;
Drop foot;
Osteoporosis (calcium depletion of the bones.)
The offered treatment includes diagnosis and exact identification of the pain. An individualized treatment plan is coordinated to include modern and advanced technology:
Laser treatment – Use of cold laser, various infrared wavelengths, as an alternative to pharmacological treatment. Laser treatment has no side effects and is found to be most efficient in reducing pain and in rehabilitating of nerves;
Magnetic fields – Use of magnetic fields of varying frequencies. Magnetic therapy rehabilitates injured nerves, aides in expanding blood vessels, strengthens blood supply to nerve cells, raises the oxygen level in the blood and tissues, and diminishes pain, edema and inflammation. Additionally, magnetic therapy improves bone metabolism in joints, ligaments and tendons, muscles, and nerves.
Physical Therapy utilizing ultra sound and electrical stimulation;
Chiropractic – manual treatment method using pressure and manipulation particularly on the spinal column;
Acupuncture – Chinese needles;
Neural therapy – Injections of anesthetics to areas of pain and motor spots.
