Main description The Orthodontic Clinic specializes in straightening the teeth and jaws of children and adults.
Straightening of the teeth is performed with the help of functional light pressure that is accomplished with the use of either a removable retainer or with braces that are readjusted once every four to six weeks. In addition to these treatments, sometimes it is necessary to open a space or to change the interface between the jaws with the use of instruments, such as facial bridges (“Rasan,”) functional equipment and rubber bands between the jaws.
The clinic diagnoses and treats pathological developmental conditions that disrupt the harmony of the face, the functional closing of the jaw and the health of the mouth, such as cross bite, ingrown teeth, mouth breathing, pressure on the tongue, and conditions caused by different habits such as sucking a thumb or pacifier and nail biting. The clinic corrects improper bite between the jaws to give an aesthetic profile and corrects teeth that have moved as a result of injury.
