Many people suffer from allergies and a good number of them don't even know it. Ongoing problems with a runny or stuffy nose may signify an undiagnosed allergy.
Allergic reactions may be caused by an insect bite or may be a reaction to various food allergies. Skin patch testing and a special blood test are used to diagnose different types of allergies. Today it is possible to identify sensitivity to an array of allergens using only one blood sample. After identification and diagnosis of the allergen, anti-allergy treatment is given in the form of immunization injections.
