Main description
The General Pediatric Department (Internal Medicine) of the Dana Children’s Hospital treats a wide variety of children’s diseases: pulmonary, digestive, endocrine, cardiac, nephrologic, and neurological and developmental problems.
The department works closely with two laboratories: a service laboratory and the pediatric immunology research laboratory. The department also operates a nursery school run by professional caregivers and teachers.
The department houses 38 beds and hospitalizes approximately 5000 children a year. The department is comprised of four senior physicians, 20 resident physicians, 17 registered nurses and 10 vocational nurses.
