Main description The Unit for Pediatric Otolaryngology of the ”Dana” Children’s Hospital treats children with various disorders and problems:
Congenital and genetic disorders in communication and ears, nose and throat, including the head and neck;
Speech and hearing disorders, vocal problems such as hoarseness;
Obstructive sleep apnea
Children with tracheotomies;
Chronic ear infections and their complications;
Chronic sinusitis;
Disturbance in nasal breathing;
Benign and malignant tumors of the ears, nose and throat system, head and neck;
Various ears, nose and throat infections;
Problems with swallowing and salivation;
The unit performs examinations of the upper airway using fiber optic endoscopy. The unit holds an outpatient clinic three days of the week and performs surgeries twice a week.
