Complementary Medicine
A unique service of complementary medicine for fertility operates within the institute.

Chinese medicine is an ancient art and science, with 3000 years of experience in treating various medical problems. It consists of several methods of treatment, including acupuncture, herbal medicine and others. Fertility has been a target for Chinese medicine for years. Lately, clinical and scientific information about the efficacy of these methods has been accumulating.

Potential patients include:

  • Women with unexplained infertility.
  • Men with low sperm quality.

After examination by one of the institute's physicians, to ensure complete medical work up, you will be examined by a Chinese medicine specialist and the appropriate treatment will be suggested. This may include herbal medications, acupuncture and dietary counseling. Herbal medicine may be given in infusions (teas) or capsules. Acupuncture is performed with ultra-thin, single use needles. Usually, treatment is not painful but rather accompanied by pleasant relaxation.

A series of treatments will be given according to the severity of symptoms. During treatment patients will continue follow up by the institute's physicians.
