You have probably been through a lot before turning to us. You may have a long period of attempts at spontaneous pregnancy behind you, as well as previous treatments.
Coming to the institute is an important turning point. You come with hope for a successful intervention as well as fears and anxiety. What does the treatment process consist of, how long will it be, what are your chances of success, how will you respond?
It is natural for you to have mixed feelings: expectation, excitement, sadness, anxiety. There will be days of optimism as well as days of frustration. These feelings are well known and expected. When you find it difficult to bear the teeming emotions, in spite of the assistance, support and understanding of your loved ones, you may turn to professional help.
To make the process easier, we offer the services of the institute's psychologist. The counselor can help you analyse the emotional process that occurs alongside the medical one, deal with decision making at each stage of the treatment process, and recruit the strength you need to cope.
Counseling will be conducted in a supportive atmosphere, and remain discrete. You may discuss any topic that worries you, including themes you may find difficult to talk about with your partner, family and close friends.
From time to time, a support group will be organized, open to participation of patients. The group is counseled by the team psychologist and another team member. Meetings are devoted to discussion, self examination and tools to improve and maintain emotional and mental confidence during treatment.
