Main description The Institute of Oncology at the Tel Aviv Medical Center, which is composed of several sub-departments and an in-house hospitalization unit, provides the answer to the gamut of cancer diseases and their related problems.
The institute operates on a modern system based upon the work of multi-disciplinary teams, with complete collaboration between the diagnosing physicians and the treating staff. The staff of the institute operates multi-disciplinary follow-up clinics and participatory discussions that include staff members involved in the diagnosis, treatment, supportive care, and rehabilitation.
An additional aspect of the Institute activities is medical research of treatment modalities conducted locally, nationally and internationally as well as research conducted in conjunction with other research centers in Israel.
