Main description
The Department of Vascular Surgery treats patients who suffer from diseases of the peripheral vascular system, diseases of the large vessels of the abdominal cavity and cerebral vascular diseases. These patients may be at risk for loosing a limb or from suffering a cerebral vascular accident (stroke.)

The department utilizes a wide spectrum of treatment modalities starting with conservative treatments and conventional surgeries and including cutting-edge endovascular treatments such as widening of blood vessels, insertion of stents and problems of enlarged veins. The department has amassed rich experience in the endovascular treatment of button abdominal aneurysms using minimally invasive surgical techniques. The department also operates a sophisticated vascular laboratory.
